Robotics Safety Guidelines
Last updated: [11/22/25]
At Creative Amir, safety is our top priority.
Robotics and electronics projects can be fun and educational, but they involve tools, electricity, sharp components, and moving parts that may be dangerous if not handled properly.
Please read and follow these safety guidelines before attempting any project on this website.
1. General Safety Rules
Always work in a clean and organized workspace.
Keep your hands dry when handling electronic components.
Never rush while working on robotics or electrical projects.
Avoid distractions while soldering, wiring, or testing.
2. Electrical Safety
Turn off power before making any wiring changes.
Use proper insulated wires and connectors.
Avoid touching exposed wires or metal contacts under power.
Use a multimeter to check voltage and continuity before powering a circuit.
Use appropriate power supplies as recommended.
Never overload batteries or power adapters.
3. Battery Safety
Never short-circuit batteries.
Do not charge LiPo batteries unattended.
Store LiPo batteries in a fireproof bag.
Do not use damaged or swollen batteries.
Follow the recommended voltage limits.
4. Tool Safety
Wear safety goggles when soldering or cutting.
Use a fume extractor or work in a ventilated area while soldering.
Keep hot soldering irons away from flammable materials.
Handle sharp cutters and tools with caution.
5. Mechanical Safety
Beware of moving parts such as motors, gears, and wheels.
Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from rotating components.
Secure robots during testing to avoid sudden movement.
6. Drone & High-Speed Robot Safety
Test drones/robots in open areas.
Follow local laws for drone flying.
Maintain a safe distance from people, animals, and property.
Ensure propellers are properly attached and balanced.
Use propeller guards when testing indoors.
7. Software & Coding Safety
Test code in small sections before running the full program.
Always upload stable code before running robotics hardware.
Avoid infinite loops that may cause unexpected movement.
8. Use at Your Own Risk
Robotics involves risks.
